Lack of inspiration

What do you do when you are feeling uninspired and you don't feel like you are getting anywhere? In my house, I take a break. If I truly feel like no matter what site I go to I am getting nowhere, I know it is time to take a short break. Be it an hour or a day, I will do something else, preferably off the computer. If I feel I can afford a day or so I will do it. By taking this short break I give myself time to regroup. New offers get time to be put up on sites and sometimes I get inspired to submit articles on my writing sites. Since my goal this month is for 18 articles, I have submitted 11 articles to date so I am only 7 off of my goal. I may even exceed my goal at this rate. Of course, if I exceed my goal I will have to decide whether I want to stick with 18 as my goal for December, or do I want to increase that one? Sometimes my inspiration comes in the strangest of places. I have been inspired by an elevator ride, by a child in rehab, by a few major family crisis and by a local youth center. Whatever your inspiration, take a moment to stop and breathe a thank you to that inspiration and allow yourself to be blessed by it. Often after taking a break I am so refreshed that I can crank out 5 or 6 articles in a very short time. Oddly, I have discovered that those are the ones that I am offered the most money for. I think perhaps the break is a good thing. It helps me to regroup and in regrouping my writing improves and thus my income.
